History was made on the 12th day of Auguest 2014 at Rumuokwurusi Civic Centre as his Excellency visited the good peole of ward 3 in Obio/Akpor local government area of Rivers State, the visit which marked the first time a governor visited the ward since the creation of Rivers State.

Ward 3 is made of Rumuokwurusi and Atali towns with a population greater than most town in Obio/Akpor LGA and housing most of the multinational companies in Rivers State.

It is bounded by Eneka town in the North Irebe and Rumuibekwe to the East and west respectively.

The people of ward 3 thanked the governor for various projects cited in the ward which includes: the dualization of Rumuokwurusi-Igwuruta road (on going), two model primary schools in Rumuokwurusi, one model primary school in Atali, one model health centre in Rumuokwurusi, construction of 2 electric power sub-station in Rumuokwurusi (on going), recognition and appointment of one of one sons Sir Nelson Wali to the board of Internal Revenue in the state, the secured peaceful and enabling environment, Empowerment of our women in various skill acquisitionprogrammes and Atali Civic Centre.

Also, people of ward 3 seized the opportunity to present their requests to the His Excellency.The request which includes: construction of road in streets linking the ward together, rehabilitation of Atali Farm, dredging of water ways, tradition stools upgrade and recognition.
