Paramount Ruler Sacks Erring Chiefs
The paramount Ruler of Rumuchorlu in Rumuokwurusi community, HRH Eze Sir (JP) has sacked some members of his council Chiefs for alleged misdemeanors.
Those he sacked according to a press release he sent to our reporter are; Mr. Ebenezer Chorlu, Mr. S. I Amadi, Mr. Kinsly Wogwu, Mr. Solomon Worlu, Chief Nyebuchi Chinda, Chief O. C Wali, Dr Godfrey Ihunwo, Mr. Chukwuma F. Amadi, Mr. Metu Ihunwo, Mr. Adele and Elder Augustine C. Worgu.
His Royal Highness accused of them of carrying on in a manner unbecoming of chiefs, stressing that instead of being good ambassadors of their community through their good disposition. The sacked chiefs had displayed selfish attitude of being only interested in grabbing community resources for themselves.
Engr. Worgu who is the Eze Chorlu VII also accused them of holding on to harmful/anti cultural beliefs that are detrimental to the development of Rumuchorlu and offering themselves to be used by outsiders to cause distractions, there by stifling the peaceful/economic/educational development of Rumuochorlu.
He also said some of the sacked chiefs had not attended meeting for over a year. And where engaging in anti-community activities, which according to him was tantamount to treachery/treason.
Eze Chorlu, who was recently crowned Eze NVU-Ike 1 of Rumuokwurusi said he invited them to his cabinet to help him develop Rumuochorlu, but expressed regrets that they have turned out a great disappointment.
He was however full of praises for Eze Onyi Oha I of Rumuochorlu, Nyedike Engr. E. Massari and Eze Aka Ekwu I of Rumuochorlu, Nyedike Joachim Ostermeier for their great contributions to the development of Rumuochorlu community. His Royal Highness said the duo has helped put Rumuochorlu in a better perspective nationally and internationally. Eze Worgu also expressed confidence in Chief Suleiman (Worgwu) and Galadima Aligat, describing them as worthy ambassadors of the community.
Eze Engr. Worgu used the opportunity to let the public know that he will be 10yaers on his throne as Eze Chorlu VII by March 2016 and thanked God for bestowing on him the ruler ship of Rumuochorlu. He could not however understand why some people who he made Chiefs would want him to relinquish the Eze Chorlu position simply because he was worthy to be elevated to Eze NVU-iket I of Rumuokwurusi/Nyechiga Eli, Rumuokwurusi.
The Rumuochorlu paramount Ruler warned those causing confusion to beware, why asking the sacked Chiefs to repent and confess their sins so that they could be readmitted into the fold.
He also called on well-meaning individuals and corporate bodies to make Rumuokwurusi a batter place to live, work and do good business.
